Starting Your Game

Select the button for the grid size you would like to play. Larger puzzles are harder. Your options are 8x8, 10x10, and 12x12. Alternatively you can create a printable version of today's puzzles by clicking on the "PRINT TODAY'S PUZZLE" button.

In the lower left corner of the welcome screen there are buttons to erase gameplay data, share the game on social media, read developer info, or install the game on your device as a web app.

The game has a button for more games in the bottom right and a language selector which is in the upper left corner.

How to Play

Line Game is played on a square grid with black and white cells. The aim is to draw a horizontal or vertical line in each white cell. Lines can not travel diagonally.

All black cells contain numbers.
Each number represents the total number of white cells occupied by the lines which pass the cell containing a number.
Lines cannot enter other numbered black cells or intersect with other lines.

Entering Your Lines

Click on a cell to begin a line segment.
The numbers in the black cells do not include the black cell itself - meaning your line segment includes the number shown plus 1 for the black cell it is in.
To erase line segments you must click on the edge and move inward.
The lines may only move directly away from the numbered cells (up, down, left, right, or some combination of the 4). You can not put a second turn onto the line away from the cell with the number in it.

Game Features

Each day this game offers another level to play through. You can play through mutliple different levels on any day by playing multiple puzzle sizes.

Your web browser automatically stores the amount of time and number of moves it took you to complete each puzzle.

You can click on date to choose another date and play another puzzle.

The lower left side of the game offers buttons to pause the game, reset the puzzle, control game music and sounds, or switch between full screen or embedded play modes.
